    Fine

The wait at the stops ranged from 15 to 50 minutes. We wasted a lot of valuable time waiting. Not sure I could recommend this to others.

Hi Jeri, thank you for Hopping-On. City Sightseeing New Orleans operates very consistently on 30-minute intervals, although traffic and street conditions occasionally require some variance. We are sorry for the delays that impacted your tour experience. The issues you described are not typical of our service, and your comments have been shared with management. In spite of the difficulty, we hope you enjoyed your time in New Orleans.

Pretty good, but consider costs and timing

The hop-on hop-off bus tour is a great idea and was very useful for us in getting around so we didn’t have to walk everywhere. However, the tour guides are mixed as far as how much they tell you about the area. The fact that the buses stop at 5:30 makes it difficult. We also happened to buy this on a day where there was tragically a fire on St. Charles, and it did limit our tour. Our bus driver was pretty awesome though.

It was a good way to get around

Felt the tour guides didn’t really tell us too much about what we could do at each stop. Their other coverage was good though :-)

    Long waits

I was able to experience some things which would've been harder to see on my own but buses were packed and instead of a half hour wait between buses, we would sometimes have to wait for an hour for the next bus.

    Excellent

The Hip on Hop off tours are good but when I first started purchasing these tours they have you more background on the area. Now it is more about the narrator then the city.

The tour guide was good, but waited a long time for bus, longer than 30 minutes and 530 is way too early to shut down. Would not reccomend as the cost was high for the return value.

  • Sonya USA about 2 years ago

Tour guide talked more about the bus driver than city.

We got very few historical or architectural details that I've heard on other city tours. Minimally talked about Katrina. Not much else. Disappointing. The saving grace was we also took the cemetery tour. That guide was fantastic!
