Handicap Information

Carriages are a great way for handicapped or disabled people to experience the French Quarter. If they can walk up steps with assistance, they will be able to board our carriages with ease. We do provide stepping stools and assistance. For people with no mobility, no ability to stand, these people may not be able to access the seat of the carriage. Our private carriages are more open air, so there is more ability for these individuals to be placed into those carriages, or larger people. Wheelchairs, strollers, and walkers can be left behind at our Jackson Square boarding location, and our on-site supervising manager will look after them. We suggest that all important items be taken on the ride.

Cancellation policy

Customers may cancel at least 24 hours prior to their arrival date and time to receive a full refund minus a $5 service fee. Customers that cancel after the 24 hour period will not be eligible for a refund. The carriages are covered and therefore operate rain or shine, but if weather is severe, the tour may be rescheduled for a later time/date or a full refund will be issued. No-shows will not be refunded. Customer may make changes to the reservation without any fees as long as it's outside the 24 hour cancellation period. Tour directors of large groups must make sure the group is on time for scheduled pick-ups.

The carriage driver was hard to hear/ understand. The ghost stories were far stretched and it was the most expensive and shortest.

    Driver Mr. Bob

I had been on this last Nov. and it was excellent but this trip the guide spent his time talking about personal friends and his dead brother who lived in Miss. we saw same street three time we did not here the Ursuline story or house. Guide name Mr. Bob would not be my choice again. It was disappointing. He was friendly but little Information on the subject matter. He was on cell phone ordered a hamburger and stopped by a place that had a person hand delivery him the burger.

    The Tour Was Just Ok...

It was great to ride around in a mule-drawn carriage and learn of the history of select landmarks in New Orleans, especially since they have a haunted past, but I didn't think the tour was worth $40. New Orleans has way more haunted history than what was explained on the tour. I expected more and unfortunately I was disappointed.

Missed it and really wanted to take the tour

We got stuck in traffic and we’re late so we didn’t get to take the tour.

Haunted carriage ride in New Orleans

Was not haunted at all...more factual history. We had already had a tour carriage ride, wanted this one for the haunted aspect...did not get that at all

    Good - relaxing

We took the 9 pm tour and it was a little chaotic since a large group had also reserved carriages. Got a bit of a late start and roads were crowded so I don’t think we stayed on the normal route. Driver was very nice and tried to yell loudly so we could hear all the way in the back seat, but street noise was also very loud. Got lots of good history, but no in-depth details on the stories about ghosts; just info like someone hung them self here so they say he haunts the place. Probably could use some more drama.

    Disappointed :(

Honestly, my friends and I found the tour really boring. Our tour guide was difficult to hear (I understand it would be difficult to drive a horse/mule and talk to people in the back at the same time) but what we did hear, just did not keep our interest. We got off before the tour ended. Maybe it just wasn't our "thing".

    Carriage ride

I enjoyed this but it was hard to hear the guide. Other than that it was ok. I probably wouldn't do it again though.
