What is a skimboard rental?

When renting a skim board, you are renting a smaller counterpart to a surf board. Used to glide across the surface of water, starting from the beach. Boarders use their momentum to ‘skim’ to breaking waves; which they catch back into shore; similar to surfing. Boards can come in excess of 2 inches thick, but typically are 5/8” – ¾”.

What are some dangers of Skim boarding?
Many dangers are broken limbs, twisted ankles, lacerations, brusises, fractures (all this mostly to the lower extremities.) due to rocks, logs, the board itself, or other obstacles.
